Novell's Suse linux ranks among the top three distros by popularity in the world and dominates the European market. OpenSUSE is a new, Novell-controlled project to release the latest form of SUSE linux, open source and freely downloadable. It is almost identical to the pay-for version of SUSE available from Novell, lacking only Novell's support plan, the printed manual and a couple (about five, I think) individual packages that could not be included due to licencing issues. These can easily be downloaded after the install. All this is available from me on cd at under an eigth of the price of the boxed set.
Suse is a perfect first distro, very, very easy to install and with heaps of documentation available online to help you with any possible problem. The openSUSE project gives Linux developers and enthusiasts everything they need to get started with Linux.
You can buy this with confidence as I have inspected this set before sending it to you and I will, in addition to this, replace any disks that reach you in damaged condition for any reason, absolutely for free. I'll also give you a hand if you have trouble during the install. Both 64 bit and 32 bit versions of this software are available.
This is a five cd set and I sell it for $6.10, so the price per disk works out to be a mere $1.20! This same software on a printed dvd in a jewel case will cost $3.70. Postage will be just $0.90.
