This is Gentoo Linux 2006.0, the most recent version of this popular and highly customisable distro.
Gentoo's major advantage over other distros is the fact that it can be (sometimes automatically) customised to get the most out of your hardware. The new livecd makes gentoo much, much easier to install - there is even a graphical installer. It is no longer much harder to get set up with gentoo than with any of the other distros, and this install livecd version has the GRP code on it so you no longer need an internet connection.
